Game Patch 6.0

Microsoft owns Bethesda, and I suppose we should talk about it. I actually dedicated the first section of the show specifically to that news. I break down the story, what we know, share your thoughts, and tell you what I think this means for gaming. Once that's done, we get into the rest of the news.

The PS5 and Xbox Series X/S preorders went live and broke the internet.

Sony will allow most PS4 games to run on the PS5, and some PS5 games to run on the PS4...

Also, expanding your memory on the Xbox Series X and S might not be cheap.

Nintendo is retiring the 3DS/2DS, so we share some memories of the little clamshell that could.

Left 4 Dead is back (kinda) and lots more!

The theme music was generously provided by 'Vertical Noise', a band from the U.K. The track is 'A Certain Host of a Certain Talk Show', and you can find it and all their music on iTunes & Spotify and stuff. If you like it, toss them a download.

Game Patch 5.0

Last week it was all about Xbox Series X/S. This week it's Playstation's turn. PS5 pricing, dates, games, we go over all of it!

We also at Apple's "attempt" to allow Gamepass streaming on their devices, and Microsoft had videos prepared to break down all the next gen info that got leaked. And they also got leaked....

Nintendo held a mini Direct this week to show off some of the games their partners are working on. We also got some new NES and SNES online games (including an absolute banger).

And before all of that we look at the best selling games in August. Gamestop is closing a ton of stores. Mass Effect is in the news, and lots more!

Game Patch 4.0

So the good news is that Microsoft gave us lots to talk about. Nintendo has some news as well, and there's a bunch of multi-console stuff to look at. The bad news is that if you're a Playstation fan, the cupboard is pretttttyyy bare this week.

We have pricing and release dates for the Xbox Series X and Series S, so obviously we're focusing on that. EA Play is being added to Gamepass, which is insane!

Nintendo announced a prequel to Breath of the Wild (kinda) which is cool, and there's more fallout from the Mario 35th Anniversary Direct from last week.

And Playstation is releasing a remote to work streaming services on the PS5. Naturally, we don't know how much it will cost.

Plus Colin Kaepernick is in Madden 21, Ubisoft showed off a bunch of games, Cyberpunk 2077 is ready to go, and lots more!

Game Patch 3.0

Nintendo went from a non-factor to stealing the show this week with a 15 minute video. Obviously, we're breaking down the Mario 35th Anniversary Direct. We also look at some quality of life improvements with the eShop, and Animal Crossing has a new fish or something.

Sony is looking into putting more Playstation exclusives on PC, and you might not be able to play your PSOne copy of Final Fantasy VII on the PS5.

Microsoft seems to be the only one NOT talking about the Xbox Series S, and they're gonna be at the Tokyo Game Show this month. Where they also won't talk about the Xbox Series S, apparently...

And everyone hates Madden 21, loves the Tony Hawk Pro Skater Remakes, and seem to be pleasantly surprised with the Avengers game.

Plus more news, sales recommendations, and other random blabbering.

Game Patch 2.0

We had a lot more actual news to talk about this week!

We're getting new DC video games; including a Suicide Squad game and one where Batman is dead but Robin and friends are on the case. I'm pretty damned excited about one of them, anyway.

Playstation has a new controller that can read your soul, and they're putting pre-orders up soon! Kind of. The PS Plus games for September have been announced, and Fall Guys has become the most downloaded PS Plus game of all-time!

Microsoft is supporting Epic Games' suing Apple and Google for taking Fortnite off their stores. It's a classic "rich people fight over poor people's money" situation. They're also telling us Halo:Infinite is fine, while bringing in former Halo royalty to try and put out fires.

Nintendo has a new Switch coming next year. Maybe. And we got a Direct! Sort of. Fucking Nintendo.

Plus the new releases, sale recommendations, and more!

Game Patch 1.0

This isn't your kids' gaming news show! Welcome to the debut episode of Game Patch!

Game Patch is a gaming news show hosted by stand-up comedian Adam Blank. There's a ton of gaming news shows out there, and while we enjoy a lot of them, we find most of them kind of...boring. Our intention with this show is to bring you the biggest news in the world of Playstation, Xbox and Nintendo, but in a fun, laid back fashion.

In addition to the news stories you need to know, we'll tell you about any big new releases dropping on each platform, and spotlight our picks for the games that are on sale this week.
