Mario may have been the Heavyweight Champion of video games in the mid 90's, but Sonic was the undisputed #1 contender for his title.
I never owned a Sega Genesis as a kid, but I still went out of my way to play the Sonic games. That Hedgehog was everywhere in those days. He starred in his own sweet cartoon show, had a killer comic book series, and was the star quarterback of Team Genesis. He was fast, he was cool....but were his video games any good?
My pal (and proud Sega kid) Andre returns to the podcast this week, and we remember not one, but TWO Sega Genesis games that are attached at the hip (thanks to "cutting edge, lock on technology"); Sonic The Hedgehog 3, and Sonic & Knuckles.
