We're back with a vengeance this week. We're talking one of the greatest RPGs of all-time, starring one of the greatest villains of all-time, on one of the greatest consoles of all-time. It's Final Fantasy VI, straight up one of the greatest video games of all-time.

I didn't play this one much as a lad, but I've lost to Kafka (if you know, you know) a few times in my adult years, and it never gets old. The characters in this game are awesome, the customization options offer a ton of replay value, and it has Shadow for fuck sakes. There's a reason this game has a permanent spot on the podium in practically every Final Fantasy ranking list ever written.

I have 2 guests this week. Episode sponsor, Darth Skywalter, swings by to explain why this game means so much to him, and then a hall of fame game deserves an (almost) hall of fame guest, so Mark McCue is giving me a call to talk Terra and friends.

We're revisiting one of the best games ever, and if there's a title that deserves a revisit more than Final Fantasy VI, I don't know what it is.

And before we go to the opera, I grind through another edition of the Infamous Intro!

This week, someone asks if you're only gonna buy one modern console at this point, what's the best bang for your buck? Do I try to clock the Infamous Intro in at the same time each week? And what's my favourite board game?

Plus we play another round of 'Play One, Remake One, Erase One', too! This one features possibly the 3 other RPGs that sit alongside FF6 on the SNES RPG Mt. Rushmore: Chrono Trigger, Super Mario RPG, and Earthbound.
